The stuffed animals
So, I was really on a roll. The keys, the items to get into other places, etc. That puppet guy is creepy as hell BTW. I got the note about the numbers equaling the stuffed animals in that box. I have all the animals. What the heck do I do with them? Am I over thinking it? I put them in the box, on the box, in front of captain creepy puppet guy. I'm lost.

On one side of the note is the order of the animals, the animals themselves have the corresponding number. On the other side of the note is the place where you use the numbers (not in the box where you find the note!). ;)

I saw the other side of the note and aware of the place. I'm not sure how to "use" the numbers or the animals. The safe is currently open and I can't close it

You use the numbers from the animals to open the safe, so if it's open you must have done so. There is something inside the safe you have to use later on!

When you picked up the animals you should have seen numbers under them that they were covering.
