Not sure what you're complaining about if I'm being perfectly honest. It looks pretty Corpus to me, and I've been playing this game since 2013. Besides, it's not like the devs themselves stay consistent with the "artstyle". Look at the Dero, then the Detron, then look at the Arca Plasmor. All three are Corpus weapons, but look almost nothing alike except for having squared grips. Then take a look at the Lenz, which has a surprising amount of curved parts.
I used Maya and Substance painter (also Photoshop for the initial drawn concept).
I generally use Sculptris (now moved to Zbrush) for most of my works but this one is really boxy, so didn't needed any ogranic sculpt.
When in doubt, assume both.
