Compatibility with Zoology
I was curious to how these two modes are compatible with each other. First tried it in Single Player then on my server, between my GF and I have 7 hours each testing the two mods interactions and here are our findings so far:
  • It works! You can tame using either Zoology's method or skip its progression and tame using Immersive Taming methods
  • Although you can no longer KO tame, vanilla style (as is Zoology's objective)
  • You need to wipe wild dinos, because Zoology has its own dinos coded, so that it can spawn its versions.
  • Old dinos (before adding Zoology) and new ones (tamed after installing Zoology), cannot mate or share pack buffs.
  • Old tames (before Zoology) do not adopt Zoology loyalty system.
  • Zoology's AI makes taming carnivores SIGNIFICANTLY easier with Immersive Taming
  • All of Zoology AI changes seem to work fine.
  • Using Immersive Taming doesn't count towards Zoology's progression system

    Still to test how Zoology's engram system that improves certain aspects of the dinos attributes. Thought I'd share, just in case anyone else was curious as I was since these are two really good mods that help change the game for the better :)

this is wonderful! get all the nice things about zoology but skip the not always smooth/logical zoology's taming. plus babies like to run away and immersive enables adult taming for zoology (normally can only tame babies unless something is wrong?).

now i can explore the loyalty and the bonus certificates in zoology :D
