I see no issue, be my guest and let us know how it went :)
Knock out the animal, build an enclosure around it, and when it wakes up give it bait until it is tame. Good luck.
4:30 am, please forgive any grammer woopsies.
My first time taming a pterodon and I lost track of it thanks to a bird attack distracting me and my second time he flew way high after the first feeding and I looked away for just a moment to gather some wood and it disappeared. The third try I managed to get one in a nice big space and he cooperated, sticking around for it.
So maybe there could be something that makes animals want to linger roughly where they were first fed?
So far i understand, the creator of this mod is working on including a balista bolt with prime meat which would be used for creatures like karkinos and giga, i myself have not played around with this mod on abberation and its creatures yet. Keep an eye on the mod's updates.
So far the information goes, i understand that the moderator, burgessssss, wishes to add an option to use a ballista with prime meat ammo for the "Huge" carnivors (like rex, giga etc).
I presume kibble will be something looked into at a later stage.
@fullmetal
If i understand you correctly my answer is this.
The moderator is working on the numbers and his desires is this; To make the amount of time requires to tame a creature through immersive taming, to be equal to the amount of time that is required of regularly taming a creature (knockout).
Also, knowing that Huge dinos, like rex and giga, will require to be fed with ballista launched bags of prime meat, does make it harder to acquire any such creature then through the knockout way, so far my imagination goes.
Each bait is linked to a category of dinos.

There's no level requirement. However, non Apex tames such as Raptors need to have no target not be aggro-ed to be attracted to the baits. I'd suggest Ghillie armour and/or switching to the next weapon up (regular bow to crossbow, or crossbow to compound bow), as they shoot bait arrows farther distances.
