Thank you thank you thank you for posting the solution you found. I thought it was actually another mod that was whooping my butt turns out it is this one. Hope I can find the file you did and turn the spawn rate down. You are right they are way too much too fast. I only started building by digging a hole with only character Antenna on and I had an army outside the hole I was digging. That spoils all the fun when you can not even build up slightly. Perhaps the author of the mod will see this new post and turn it down slightly. Do not mind being under siege at all but in the first 30 minutes is crazy

You'll have to find the right mod file and open it with WinRAR, but beyond that it's as simple as editing a text file. You'll probably have to reupload it though, which can be a bit contentious if you're doing it for a server. I reuploaded it, but it's set to friends only because only me and one friend are using it.

hey after setting the frequency 0,5 do they still spawn or is that value you put too low? because I am changing my config too and idk what to put to the frequency

They do still spawn, just at a sane rate. The default rate had like one ship every five minutes, about half of which then spammed drones at a rate of one per minute, and the mod has no limit on the number of ships it'll throw at you. You'd be halfway through slowly dismantling the first "builder" ship and another will show up, and now you've got two drones per minute to deal with, plus the turrets on the builder ships.

Can you post instructions for changing the spawn rate?

My first comment in this thread (not the original post) I detailed where to find the mod's .sbc file and how to get the config out of it. It's literally an option labeled "droneship frequency" or something similar. The only hard part is in order to use it with friends you'll have to reupload it to the Workshop; I solved the copyright issue by marking it as Private and only allowing people with the direct link to download (which amounted to one other person at the time lol).

I do not see detailed instructions. Maybe I'm missing something but none of your posts mention where to actually find the file.

Actually, the process appears to have changed since that first comment. The mod will be in Steam/steamapps/workshop/244850/1237358805/; from there, it should be as simple as going into the Data folder and modifying the spawnrate values in "SpawnGroups.sbc."

Hi @Sunoko, I've made a version of this with the 0.5 instead of 50 frequency as suggested here, for personal and friends use. I uploaded it and found ti got 3 subscribers before I managed to click "friends only". Clearly people would like to use this setting, can I have permission to make it public? (and link/credit this original mod of course)
