The pillar doesn't attack me to charge the rod.
I looked at the nexus page, and tried the fixes, and neither of them worked.

Sorry to hear there's still people having issues with this. It doesn't try to attack you at all? Or the shock spell is there but just doesn't hit you? Also, you've say you've tried the fixes -- so while being inside the little room with the pillar and while practically getting yourself killed, you still don't receive the charged rod? I assume you're actually in possession of the discharged one?

i loaded back to before i ever entered the grease abyss and it fixed the problem.
but before it was fixed, the thing didnt try to attack at all.

as i bourd the ship at the biggining of the quest i crash anny pointers to a fix?

@KitKatt, Grandfather Frost tells you to harvest yule grain from the courtyard (the place with the big yule goat) and then go to the elves in the Yule Caverns. There you have to use their ancient grain mill to make flour.
@magifox, I'm fairly sure that there's nothing but vanilla Skyrim objects in the ship interior - and no one else has experienced issues with that place at all - so it's almost certain that something else than my mod is causing your issues. Try disabling your other mods and/or using a clean save.
