What to do if your menu does not work.
1. Open L4D2
2. open a map
3. open the dev console
4. bind a key to open the menu, like this : bind v "show_menu Menu"
5. Your done! Now you may use the menu. Thats what I did to fix mine. :steamhappy:

I thank you very much for your help and that you have solved it, but there is a problem. If you use the map command and the sv_cheats 1, you can not win achievements and play with people. Local server is the only thing that allows and that you can not use sv_cheats 1. Also I'm not sure if in truth the bind open_menu menu works without requiring sv_cheats 1 is something good.

Conclusion: I will try to see if I can change the "show_menu menu" to the open_menu menu ".

problem with binding cant get it to happen it refuses to bind to any key locking the message "
bind <key> [command] : attach a command to a key" everytime i try to bind it to the V key like instructed it will not respond in anything other than that message

Did your forget to put in the "s when typing it in?

If you are going to use the menu key, make sure you do not have another letter equal to another command, for example: v and admin menu + v and mic button.

And make sure you have inside the quotes: bind "v" "show_menu menu"

put in the quotes with the words or put in the words from the quotes.

NOTE: I am no longer going to be making comments on any of my stuff and
I will not be making guides or discussions (Srry if I spelt that incorrectly).
Its because I am getting too many comments, and so it gets annoying.
Please do not make comments on my stuff now. Im tired of my mail
filling up because of comments.

when i binded it, it still wouldn't show up.
