So, what does 'Cherry Wood' do,
is it different from normal 'Wood'
or is it still just regular 'Wood' but from a 'Cherry Tree'?

Just another kind of wood, like how there are 5 kinds of stone. The stats are a little different, but the main use is for building with more colors. It drives me crazy how there is only the 1 type of wood normally

That makes a lot of sense to me. For a game in which base-building features so prominently, there's a real lack of aesthetic qualities.

I'm glad that I am not the only one who feels this way! So much more potential. Maybe one day it will be in vanilla.

Tbh, one might actually want more than 1 cherry tree available.

The American Black Cherry fruit tree (Prunus serotina) is the one that produces
the Cherry Wood and has edible cherries, but doesn't look that spectacular.

While the Tibetan Cherry (Prunus serrula Tibetica),
aka Shining Birch Bark Cherry or Paperbark Cherry or Mahogany Barked Cherry,
with green foliage, white/pink flowers and inedible drupes, is a very pretty tree.

One could invent a new Cherry Tree, of course, and start a new line.
A cherry that is pretty, bears edible fruit ánd produces cherry wood.
The Zen Cherry (Prunus Cupropica)!

That's silly, that whole mod revolves around added ingredients -
while this mod revolves around relaxation and has only 1 tree.

Besides, what are you going to call a Tree that bears cherries? A Cherry Tree.
Zen Garden has a tree that bears cherries ánd can be harvested for cherry wood.
If anything, I'd vote for a Black (or Zen) Cherry Tree rename right there.

After a bit of thought...maybe Zen Cherry is better.
One doesn't want the black community starting a witch hunt when a modder
introduces a "Black Tree" that can be harvested for "Red Wood"...

I thought maybe a "Cherry Fruit Tree" could be a simple rename, while being user-friendly, but yes- Zen Garden is absolutely able to make some changes, and you've thrown out good info and ideas to help facilitate that.
