Quick question - whenever I try to run those command in the server.cfg file, it seems to hit me with an "unknown command".

For example, running "ttt_jester_enabled 0" (without quote marks) in server.cfg gives: "Unknown command: ttt_jester_enabled". Same thing is valid if trying to run the command from within the server console.

The Custom Roles for TTT addon is also present in the addons file in ..\garrysmod\addons.

Maybe your file is encoded with windows line endings on linux or linux line endings on windows?

Also, I'm not sure what files you have put in the addon folder, I don't have anything there?

1. In the addon folder of the server I've added the extracted mod itself. Wanted to make sure I wasn't screwing up the workshop setup on the server and didn't require the mod files in the addons folder. With or without the folder present in addons, it still seems to have the same issue.

2. Regarding the line encodings, I'm not entirely sure how to change that; but since this is the only addon in the collection that is having the issue I'm thinking that perhaps the issue is not that.

If you got any other suggestions, feel free to let me know though - been googling for the issue for ages and nothing seems to pop up; though I see a couple of guys in the comments here as well having the issue.

Have you tested that the addon appears to be running at all? And also removed any other similar addons that also grant extra roles?

Yep! Removed most of the addons related to TTT; unfortunately not sure how to check if an addon is running correctly, it seems to at least. (ie - there is the usual TTT UI, roles and so on).

You can see if you have any of the special roles.

Copying the contents from the Custom Roles Settings of that Github link into the server.cfg does not change the starting values of the game. ttt_zombie_enabled 0 in the server.cfg does not yield that value when checked after loading a game via the console.
