When it activates it will throw micro-sparks (nothing flashy) and the workspeed will increase for a short time. It will only activate above a %mana threshold (iirc 80% or above) and does consume mana when it activates. When it repairs a building or android or fires it's laser, it also consumes mana. The threshold increases when drafted (iirc, 20% mana or above)
