You can use the mod options to adjust how frequently pawns spawn with magic or physical traits. Alternatively, if you do happen to have a pawn you really like that doesn't have a special trait, you can always buy or craft a gem of insight which will grant a pawn the gifted or physically adept trait allowing them to become the hero you want them to be.
