Force Hamburg
Anyone playing as NUS figure out how to trigger this event without going to war with Brandenburg?
From the book, I don't recall the NUS declaring war on brandenburg to gain access to Hamburg along the river.

You should be getting Altmark automatically.
I'm guessing Sweden won the war against Austria and then Brandenburg left the faction. Yes?

I dont recall the exact sequence, but yes I think so.
I have been having a problem with Sweden booting me (NUS) out of the faction repeatedly.

The faction issues should be resolved with the patch I just released.

Second game since newest patch: Austria won the war in 1633, after France war started. Sweden conquered by Denmark. I wound up in East Thuringia as New American Empire???

Sounds like you got puppeted. That is the absolutist name of the New US.

Third game, Sweden wins war against Austria in 1633. War with France and Denmark in 1634. I defeated Denmark in detail. CPE (not NUS) owns all regions invilved with Forcing Hamburg.
Still not getting Altmark. Force Hampburg still isn't available.
Force Hamburg finally allowed after war with France/Denmark is over.

Side note, Denmark pretty much kicks Sweden's ass each time I play the mod. I have had to rescue Sweden each time. They don't really guard their homeland and Denmark drives for it.

Another odd: France forces Burgundy to capitulate, which become neutral, cutting off land access between the two belligerents. Effectively this stops all fighting in the west.

Yes, the whole situation is a bit tricky still. I've got to figure out how to get the AI to focus on important areas. Also, manpower isn't balanced yet so some countries have way too much.
Currently, force Hamburg requires you to own the land yourself. I may change it to own or ally owns.

There is no way to do the Force Hamburg without the NUS personally controlling Luneburg and Altmark.
