The UI issues with Custom Battle also only happen if you run a sub-1080p resolution and are thus much rarer and hardly ever reported.
Either way, the solution is the same, as long as people aren't too lazy to read.
I didn't spend much time on Custom Battle so far as the selection is already very saturated and it typically is a much less important aspect of my mod, aside from that it makes pretty much no difference what subfaction of a race you use, unless Legendary Lords are concerned. Otherwise it's just a color palette swap.
So far the selection is mainly directly ported over from Warhammer 1 and popular factions there.
The Empire especially has always been a fan favourite, as have been its various subfactions, hence all of them are currently included.
Vampires have 3/4 factions on the list (Templehof is hardly popular and non-canon), Dwarfs are also generally more popular than random Greenskin factions (especially the very roster-limited Savage Orcs like Top Knotz would be hardly interesting to have) and so on. I was trying to strike a balance between having some factions of each race, with a focus on those most people actually to play with. The fact that Mixu focused on Empire lords primarily also had an impact on this.
As for Mixu's LLs, he can always modify the list just like anyone else, to focus on the factions he made content for, while my list is a more generic collection of all races and their relative popularity.
As I have not had much time to work on Custom Battle since Warhammer 2 got released, I do intend to review the list over time to add new favourites, though with how many factions we now have, it will be even harder to pick and choose which are worth having around over others.
The majority of factions that can be added to this list really just "add a bit of flavor but not much else", especially as even CA combines their factions into a bare minimum nowadays, making all of their LLs available within a minimum of Custom Battle factions together.
If you really want to edit the list of what factions are available for your reasons, then you can easily do that yourself by editing the factions table and unchecking the mp_available checkbox.
After I read your response, I went to host a multiplayer campaign just to see what you were talking about, and I was immediately impressed by how many factions there are in this game. I had to lower the UI scale to 50% to see all of the factions for Mortal Empires on my tiny screen. Multiplayer campaign faction selection is indeed a very different beast than custom battle faction selection.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post Crynsos! I'm now inspired to download PFM and tinker with it a little bit.
