The Runic Cube!
Anyone got any ideas about it?

There seem to be a set of 3 arrows pointing to one point near where the thingy is found, but putting it there doesn't seem to do anything, and neither does putting it in the secret island

Ages ago, people went and decompiled the map. It is believed that the cube actually serves no purpose at all, due to its name not appearing in any of the scripting. It appears to be more of an easter egg; the same (or at least similar) cubes appear in other maps from the same author.

When asked, demazure! confirmed the cube having a purpose.

They said that about the cube in all their maps, actually, even when proven otherwise. No evidence or proof that any of the cubes actually have any purpose has even been put forth.

Maybe the cube has to be placed somewhere to unlock a secret area that doesn't appear when you noclip out of the map?

Huzzah I think I know what its purpose is. If you noclip out of the map and turn on the flashlight there is going to be a black block above the map. If you try to noclip into it, it teleports you to the spawn. Then again it could just be the skybox... or a secret room?

No, that box is a secret room for the Wiremod puzzle.

i found another room with the same sound while exploring it is in the submarine entrane room wall under water it has a illousion entrance so it could be hard to find it has some mysterias writing on the wall as well as a teleportation door way that is not activated

@danishjargon That is a door that gets you to the "secret island" that I mentioned above when you input a code to it with Wiremod

No clip through a pole near a hot tub or something, and then if you look through the pole while no clipping through it, you can see that the hot tub turns black and there is a message. I don't want to spoil it for you. :)
