I've actually had to chase down a couple of armies who knew they were no match for me, and I've had enemies who were about to attack one of my cities with a larger force then run away once I reinforced it with an army and turned the tables. I haven't noticed anything else like this that just stuck out like a sore thumb so I'm guessing you may have a conflicting mod or a corrupted download or something? The Radious mods touch virtually every single aspect of the game to some degree or another, so it's not a good idea to use a lot of mods with them unless they are officially approved submods, or purely standalone singular affect mods such as "Abandon Region" and "Custom Lord Creation".
What other mods, if any, are you running with it? If you have anything that is editing AI behavior, siege, or battle mechanics, or anything like that, then those could easily be causing this to happen.
