Dwarfs broken or just unlucky game?
I started as Teclis and was fighting in the jungles, I sent a lord around the ocean scouting treasures and the coastlines for new tradepartners.
Dwarfs, CLan Angrund and barak Var pretty much own the lower half of the old world. Barely any orcs left, border princes dead, Clan Mors dying. The Desert is owned 60% by the Prospector Dwarfs and 40% vampires.

It's turn 30 and it was my first ME game with radious installed (no other mods except for Sebidees no great power penalty)

That's pretty much what Dwarves do, unfortunately. They've always been a bit OP because of the way autoresolve works, but with Mortal Empires letting everyone occupy any region, the Dwarfs have become a complete mess, even without mods.

Try look further north, it most likely that the two vampire factions have swallowed up most of the empire. Every game, unless you play vamp or dwarf, the will overwhelm their respective part of the map. Also, bretonia would have also swallowed up norsca. These are the constants I see every game with radious mod.

Thats why when I play empire, I kill bretonia immediately to have a more interesting game, as well as a more thematically realistic enemy to fight later on.

Only difference in my game is, somehow the empire won and ranges from marienburg to the chaos wastes.

Bretonnia ownes Norsca yeah.
I installed some dwarf "nerf" mod, to avoid them conquering the rest of the badlands/old world, but they're still doing strong.

Yep, there are a few constants in Radious that seem to have carried over to ME from WH1.

Bretonnia crusades into Norsca, VCs eventually swallow a huge chunk of the Empire, and Dwarfs ruin everything in the Badlands, especially the Greenskins. Everything else is kinda up to RNG.

I really wanted to have at least a game where I would have to fight a greenskin tide. In WH1, the greenskins still had some chance to beat the dwarves, it just didnt happen often, like maybe one in every five or six games.

I think the reason bretonia does what it does is due to the fact that it wont delar war with the other bretinian factions so it only has one way to go. In this case, its less radious and just the
base game itself.

Something I noticed is that the Greenskins seem to hold on until around 30-50 turns into the game, and then they just start dropping like flies one after another in quick succession. I haven't played in that area for a while because of the issues with Dwarfs steamrolling everything, but perhaps it's specific units that the Dwarfs get access to causing such issues?

Whenever I play green skins, i just blitz the dwarf capital as soon as i get my first wargh.

One play through I had as Clan Mors, the Last Defenders were running rampant north. The dwarves were nearly wiped out due to this. All the dwarves had left were further north of their capital (which the lizardmen had). Only that play through had that occur. All others the dwarves were conquerers.

Well, the thing with the last defenders is that they have only one direction to go due to their location, concenterating their units in one direction whilst not having to fear for defence due to the mountains as well as the minor faction they always ally with.

Has this been resolved or are Dwarves still OP? I don't want to start a campaign with this mod if this is the same result I'll get every time

Dwarves are op in every iteration of the game on the campaign map, even with radious or sfo mods. The only real way to counter this is to start as one of the factions that starts near them so you can kill them early on. Id recommend clan angrund, any greenskin, maligor, clan mors or the last defenders if you want to have a game without op dwarves for long. With an other faction, you can only hope that its that 1 in every 20 games that the dwarves somehow screw up in which case they will probably be replaced by mors or last defenders.

First of all love you stuff Radious, and the new mods short of some balancing which you already know, well done sir.

As far as the Dwarf problem, in all honesty I have found the Vampire Counts to be far and away more broken at the moment. In literally every single one of 10+ ME games with the newer factions, by turn 80-100 the Counts and Von Carsteins own anywhere from 50 to 60+ terrritories each. Thats the vast majority of the eastern part of the map from the Chaos Wastes in the north to the Shifting Sands in the south. This includes steam rolling the Dwarves (who yes steamroll the Greenskins who are weak as hell right now), rolling over all of the Empire factions with ease, Norsca, and by turn 100 ish they are rolling into the Wood Elves and Bretonia then as well. Every, single, game...

The only true fix I can think of really would be to tone down the economy and/or army upkeep changes in Radious a bit because frankly loosening it up as is benefits army spamming which the Vampires benefit from more than anyone. Personally I think the mod needs this anyways as the army spam is getting out of hand for all factions, but the Vamps, jesus.

On a side note I have found that using a No Confederation mod with Radious has helped clean some of the problems up and made the game more enjoyable. Doesn't fix the Vampire blobbing but made the Dark Elves vs. High Elf fight a crazy, legit hard back and forth. Last Defenders was also good with it, until about turn 80-90 when an ungodly wave of Von Carsteins blew through the Dwarves right into me in the Badlands and Shifting Sands...I wish I would have screenshoted the amount of armies...

Anyway, just 2 cents from a random dude. Take it for what its worth...

For reducing amount of armies we have submod with higher upkeep. Small changes to Orcs will be done in next update. Sadly biggest issue is here with not balanced autoresolve system. Which favoures some factions more then other and that must be fixed by CA. Anyway thank you for the feedback and ideas, always very welcome!

Thanks for the answers here radious, helps us out with what's going on!

Does anyone have a mod like a 'rival' mod to sort of fix this in the meantime? I'm happy for the orcs to become OP just for variety, but I can't seem to find one!
