its ridiculous to me that the black guard beats flanking blood dragon warriors (on foot). Does not seem lore accurate.

Don't play VC but wouldn't cairn wraiths tear them a new ass? Vargulf in support should do pretty decently too. Then Terrorgheist and zombie dragon breath to cleave down their numbers before a merge, or use it when they're stuck on zombies or other trash; a far range hit from the side of the formation should delete most of them.

in my experience cairn wraiths are not particularly effective and definitely not Vargulf. the main problem is that they are unbreakable for some reason. Wind of Death is the only thing I've found that is even a little effective (its still not great).
This my first time coming back to this campaign in a while and its is beyond ridiculous the black guard of naggarond are functionally invincible nothing kills them with any kind of effectiveness.
