Playing Skrolk campaign
So, I have played vanilla pretty much primarily, however recently found this addon and overall I love it the change in battle pace and the stronger magic just make it feel so much in line with the actually warhammer universe. Anyway I have had no issues playing other races such as orcs, dwarves, and humans.

However recently I decided to do a playthrough with Skrolk and I just cannot do well with it even after multiple restarts. I seem to end up at war on all sides with troops that far outstrip mine. I have been using ambushes and running two armies one with skrolk and the second with a roster full of clanrats, but the upkeep and loses combined with the poor economy just ends up leaving me scratching my head. I even tried multiple slave armies, but they just end up being totally routed and basically worthless from what I can tell, literally see lizardmen units racking up 350 kills per unit on some of my armies with elves being stronger even when being fully flanked.

Anyway do you guys have any pro-tips on how to do well with this campaign? I feel like the start is just brutal. I am open to any advice, thanks!

If I remember correctly from patch notes long ago he's super plague based, plagues on his armies buff the bajeesus outta them. Plague in your provinces buff them too. I believe he gets improved plague rat rite cooldown as well. Just gotta plague, plague and more plague.

I've never played him personally though so can't say for sure.

i recently did this afew days ago, i survived on VH by completely ignoring lokhir and the other rats and just focusing on surviving the Public order until it got better, i did everything i could to not upset lokhir as he dumpstered me the first time with corsairs, he should still focus on other people despite raiding you a little at the start, as he hates them far more than you, once you start laying into gor rok he should be happy enough to trade and nap you then you're fine, he might end up dying and you'll be stuck with teclis though, hopefully that doesn't happen or when it does finally happen you've got plague claws and enough magic to be ok


also i rushed to occupy those ruins to the right before lokhir got them, needed that damn rattling warren for research

Tried a very hard Skrolk campaign. Felt the same way. Seems like most people think plague catapults are the answer, and they sound promising until you fire them into saurus. Almost no damage. Plague monks need a buff or a reduction in upkeep, they are almost not worth it.
