chaos is a joke in my game but after ~100 turns Hexoatl, Lizardmen are dominating the whole map with over 100 settlements

To the OP, what combat difficulty are you playing?

same as this norsca can come at me with like 13 units vs my full stack of 20 auto resolve says decisive defeat then when i try fight in a battle each on their units ends up stacking up around 200/300 kills

Let me put my 5c.VH, High, VH difficulty. I play from the defence most of the times, because my attacking patterns s*cks, so in defence you need to choose appropriate terrain first(in chaos wastes that will be minor settlement - very narrow pathways, easy to block insane amount of troops with 1-2 stacks), then have at least 2 mages to devastate stacked enemies. Oh, and snipe chaos arty at the start with your lord or mage on air mount, or it will ruin everything(chaos do not have normal aa). If possible - build somewhat specialized army against hevy infantry with shields.

As long as you kill arty fast, you can chose multiple working strategies to use. A lot of wagons? Sure. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of heavy Artillery? Possible. Mobile army to kite those slowpokes? Will work. If you are skaven, then just ambush-kill-kill them all, so easy.

PS - I am not sure, but it's been like 3rd or 4th test run, and almost every time Vampire coast steamroll lizardmen and Morathi solo conquers Ultuan(recently found Mazamundi with 1 town on turn 60)..

PPS - if you want to have a nice autoresolve you need a lot of armor piercing. But even then you will die out after 3-4 battles and will need to return to heal.

Honestly, Chaos invasion still is a joke in SFO. The individual units and therefor armies are a lot stronger, so I get why they are hard to deal with for the player, but campaign-wise they are a no issue still. Sadly.

I'm playing on: Normal/Normal/Legendary. i was able to own the whole empire, just in time for the invasion and they have like 20 armies, all chosen or god specfic. it's insane.

Normal is 10 armies, hard 20, very hard 30, legendary 40. Enjoy!

Lol, I'm gonna have to back out since I've never tried Legendary Chaos. I don't know if they get bonuses or just larger numbers of armies, or more elite units, or what.

Only number of armies and chevrons. Nothing more.
