Night Goblin Fanatics - Grom
I can't recruit them anywhere. I've found an old thread, where Venris stated, only Skarsnik can recruit them. (It was in 2019). But you need to recruit one unit to unlock the Hell Pepper 'Shrooms.

Am I missing anything?

Fanatics are unique to skarsnik only in SFO. In the v2.0 SFO patch notes it was written that normal night goblins will unlock hell pepper shrooms but last 2 times I checked it did not work. Recruiting RoR doesn't work either. I put in a bug report for it awhile back maybe he missed it, I'd recommend posting in the bug report section.

Try recruiting normal night goblins first though to see if it's fixed since I havn't tried recently, let me know what you find out.

You can recruit Fanatics at Mount Arachnos, special building "Den of the Broodmother". It's fine for the Vortex Campaign, because it's in your starting area, but it's another story in Mortal Empires.

Yeah I head to head alot so there's no way that would remotely be viable, that's a 30 turn trip at least. Is good to know though, had no idea.

Can confirm it doesn't work for night goblins or night goblin archers.
