No Step Back is useful for designing tanks rather than being forced down the preset designs. However, it does add the complexity of Logistic Strikes. Also adds Railway Guns which are more niche than in vanilla. Also adds Army Spirits which are particularly valuable to USSR.

Man the Guns allows closing sea areas to traffic which is quite important for USSR, UK, Germany at least. Also adds a lot of Naval Research and design options - not sure how important that is but it is satisfying as USA.

La Resistance adds spies and there are a lot more options for what to do with spies. Not sure how important they are. It adds Armoured Cars but I think they are always available in BICE. It doesn't change the Spanish Civil War.

Country Packs add next to nothing.

Gotterdamerung, Arms Against Tyranny, and By Blood Alone I don't have and don't know if they add anything worthwhile. I know there is no plane designer. Special Projects and Raids are in BICE without Gotterdamerung
