when trying to load most TF2 maps (eg. koth_suijin, plr_bananabay, cp_dustbowl, ctf_2fort) the game will permanently freeze and i have to use task manager to close it

i read a thread that said disabling sh_mapglass.lua will fix the issue, and it technically did,
but whenever i load a tf2 map without sh_mapglass.lua, the skybox is permanently black no matter what i set the time to, and the actual lighting of the map will not change at all
