43 missing textures, all stormfox's
I'm having the same issue brought up in the thread http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/1132466603/2595630410181226800/ but haven't found any fix and the original is locked. Also interesting to note is that all the textures the console says are missing appear to be from the StormFox addon itself:

The missing files are causing several weather effects, ui elements and the sun and moon to turn to pink/black :missing: squares. Neither unsubbing/resubbing or restarting gmod seem to have fixed the problem. What other options can I try? Do I need to poke around the gma file itself to see if I can extract the textures from there and put them in the GarrysMod folder somewhere?

Bump, as the person that plays with Foggy i'd like the problem resolved as well.

Bump. The missing texture count has since expanded to 56. Installing the linked github files either with or without subbing to the workshop version does nothing to change this, despite appearing to contain many texture files that appear to correspond to those which the console reports are missing. On servers running this addon, outdoor areas are filled with a dense downpour of enormous error textures reducing visibility to a couple of metres.

This is a problem with your steam-/ gmod-client and not StormFox.
- Check that you don’t have cl_downloadfilter on “mapsonly”.
- Remember that p2p doesn’t make people download the mod.
- StormFox uses some content from CS:S.
- Sometimes server content fails to download. Try and delete any folder called “StormFox” under GarrysMod\garrysmod\download\materials

I made StormFox to have a resource setting, that decides if it should tell the client to download the workshop or use resource.AddFile.
The workshop version uses the workshop command, and the github version uses the default resource.AddFile.
