also, i ended up fixing the issues I had, but for future's sake i'll explain how i fixed it, unfortunately i dont remember the errors since i closed them and didn't take screenshots, but im pretty sure it was something about item IDs being incorrect?
anyway as for the problem being solved;
1. load messed up characters
2. select with animated prop tool
3. select original intended animation (if you dont know, then its better to write down which one you used
4. it should be fixed, but if the characters are still messed up, try playing the animation/selecting the animation frames
