Have you manually edited the data/hitnumbers/settings.txt file? if so, check if there are any syntactical errors. otherwise, or if that doesn't work, try deleting the file so that hitnums can make a new one.

let me know if that works, there is another bug regarding the settings file that causes that error to show, but I want to make sure that the above fixes the problem before releasing the fix.

Actually I never tried to edit this file. I'm running an untouched version.
