That's so true though, and I will take you advice now in this situation and remember it in the future when other "hardships" show themselves

Does machine cult alter the priority for robotic upgrade like droid? I have been researching a while in order to get the tech for robotic ascension (I might just be bad luck on that one) and it doesn't seems to show up.

NVM, i got the tech right after posted that message LMFAO, guess it is just bad luck.

The things that spiritualism would normally affect relating to robots have specific exceptions built in for Machine Cults (ie, you select AI Allowed, the spiritualist faction doesn't hate robots, etc).

Does Machine Cult changes ethic attraction though? Normally when you have lotsa robots you going to have materialist attraction. I imagine this will not be an issue- you can enable AI reseach to please materialists and spirutualists will be cool with that. But its a little bit odd to have big and happy materialist population in spiritualist empire.

Actually I think once you finish synthetic evolution, spiritualist faction literally cease to exist because 99% of your pop is now materialists. Unless you add on materialists pop to your empire later on (like kidnap Spiritualists Fallen Empire like the bastard I am), you will have an empire with spiritualist ethnic, many temples buildings but run by materialists.
