Limits
What are the actual limits to PO? I have only seen "infinite". Right now I have several custom buildings replica palaces, baths, fora, and temples, and the coliseum in a "Rome-ish" city. I think there's about 12,000 POs at this point, but I can't have more than about 6000 active before I save a game or else it just won't save—it just sits there. I've left it running for days and it can not resolve the save. BUT if I put stuff away in as Fixed Exports then I can save. Are there any known mod conflicts? Has anyone else had this issue? Please help. This is ruining my flow, not to mention incredibly frustrating. :(

I am at about 11500 and having the same problem. I am doing to try using fixed exports to solve it.

I got help with this a few days after the post. It's not the the PO count that maters, but the number of points/tris in the PO. If for instance, you don't change anything about it's size or positioning of the individual points it counts as one, but if you make any modifications to individual points, or to its scale then all of those points count. You can have about 1.6 million points in total if I recall correctly. I was doing stupid things like collapsing entire buildings just to get the columns from it. I stopped that and drastically reduced my POs and now I'm golden! Good luck.
