does it matter? the point of the map is to have fun test mods out. oh right because theres 2 tall buildings means its a "part of new york" this is why gmod has barely any city maps because people report them for "recreating 9/11"

It's for the sake of adding realism. All the HL games have textures to give a near-realistic look to them, along with the graphics (Such as camera turbulence, bloom, Depth of Field, High Dynamic Range, etc.) as well.

whats so wrong with two buildings of a real city? even if there was a terrorist attack in which they got destroyed theres nothing wrong with placing the buildings

Just because they were destroyed by a terrorist attack doesn't mean any mentions of the building itself have to be removed
