Map won't function
Every time I launch the map, gmod goes through its usual sequence of loading EVERYTHING for the one map but as soon as its ready to plop me down Garry's mod crashes to Desktop. I've tried disabling all the workshop addons to make sure it wasn't a conflict there but it still didn't work. Anyone else have this same problem/ know what to do?

Oh, i've had this problem. You just remove the map that causes it. Maybe it is different for you, I'm not sure.

reinstall it and if that didint work buy a new graphics card but you better buy nvidia graphics card. if all of this not work... YEP YOU ARE ♥♥♥♥♥♥

@jameslong if you dont know how to fix it dont post it. Also try deleting your local content (save maps you enjoy before you do this and put them in a folder) and then reinstall the map! This map cant be saved in a folder because that means you never deleted it.

this happens to me on a lot of maps do this:lower all graphics,model texture etc set all to low as low can get not medium or high or very high and you will get there and if you do you can easily set your graphics to top again without crashing(note may expect lag) let me know if it works

When this happened to me it could have been a very different cause, but lowering graphics didn't fix the problem. In my situation I would get one map that wouldn't work and it would cause ALL maps to crash upon loading. I found the map that caused the issue and removed it from my addons and this fixed the issue for me.

It's depends how powerful your computer is. If it's a simple office computer it will crash

i7 3820, 32gb of ram quad channel, gtx 660 sli, ssd, crashes on start, wtf

32 bit? Just a hunch... I'm crashing and I'm running xp 32bit, ge-force 550 TI 32 mb ram... So I'm thinking it's eather XP or 32 bit that's causing the crash.

Guys, try to set your "Shadow Detail" to medium or low and run the map. It worked for me! :B1:
