I'm having the same issue. I click the button for third-person and i get to see the horrifying inside of my PM's face. Sometimes it seems as though the third-person camera is stuck inside the aircraft if the aircraft has a large interior. For example, when i fly the Osprey and look to my left, the camera allows me a view of the entire cockpit, but from inside the aircraft.
