SCars Slim

Problem with wheels (SOLVED)
I've been using SCars for several months, without any problems. But yesterday, I've noticed a very annoying one. Everytime I go over 100km/h, my wheels just noclip through the ground, something like when you build a train the realistic way and try to get some decent speeds, then you realize that GMod isn't perfect at all and that you can't properly go over 34km/h or so, with even weight tool not helping.

My wheel also bug a lot when I hold both S and W or just change riding direction a lot, they turn unrealistically, sometimes even inside-out and stay as that for some time! Tried reinstalling SCars, no help. I have only Slim and Extra.

Fixed. I've readed the ACF readme file, it said that if I want more realistic physics, I should add few lines to the server / listenserver.cfg. The lines which edited some lua things altered the physics and broke the wheels

how do you fix this?
Hyperion Jul 14, 2013 @ 11:59am
If you installed ACF recently then just read the readme of it, open the file which is in there, and remove the lines which you probably added. If you're hosting a server, you have probably modified the physics in your server.cfg (listenserver.cfg for a listen server).

If you didn't install ACF or do those things at all, you should post on Steam support or just comment it here so taht others will know and try to help u

SCars is changing the physics settings so it fits SCars.
Other addons can still change the physics settings (overwriting the settings SCars applied)
which can result in issues like this.
These wheels keep bouncing over. -_-

I have the same problem here to... anyway to fix it? Hyperion what do you mean by ACF?
Hyperion Jul 22, 2013 @ 2:46pm
ACF is name of an addon I've installed, which has altered physics (at least it's readme said how to do that). If you don't have the addon, then you could have any other, physics altering addon. Maybe reinstalling GMod could help if you're really in doubt, with folders like Settings and Addons backupped ofc

Just try disabling all addons except for the SCar ones. Restart gmod. If it works at least
we can conclude that it's a workshop addon causing it. Which one is unknown. It's probably not a map or a swep at least.

Hm, I have Gbombs 4 installed and read the facepunch and it says the physics on the bombs are better. Any ideas on that?
Anicul Jul 25, 2013 @ 4:41pm
Got it fixed, Gbombs 4 caused it.

Crap, I wanted to install those. Are there any other explosives that cause those shockwaves, pushing props backward? Other than Nuke Pack? The default ones in GMod don't cause them at all, but I love it when things just fly away!

You can install it you just have to remove the physics.lua I think.

"This addon comes with a little physics enhancement that allows entities and props to travel at much faster velocity than Source's default.
If you don't want this, simply delete the following file"

lua/autorun/server/gb_physics.lua
