maybe someone could make an npc to get the quest from. To make it easier.

Jeez, I had this mod ages ago, uninstalled it, then I reinstalled then I got this

Open your console with the tilde (~) key (On American keyboards, at least) and type in as follows

setstage _2sQUSTStartMainQuest 0

If that fails, try

player.setstage _2sQUSTStartMainQuest 0

This adds the quest to your journal and allows you to advance the plot

that didnt work but what i did was SetStage MQ101 (102,103,104... depending on the stage) 0

sorry :/ dunno what to say mate, mines working fine. Which stage are you on?

i'm having the same issue. I worked a character up to level 15 completely avoiding the main quest. When I tried to start the main quest so i could get a house in whiterun i couldn't find the quest in my log and when I tried to go to helgen, the bandits were there and i couldnt find the burnt corpse. I even tried starting a new character and immediately travelling to helgen to activate the quest. I found the burnt corpse but it didn't start the questline. All i got was some bonemeal

Late for the party, but asking literally any inkeeper for rumours should start the quest.

wait around in the courtyard before the one you would normaly choose between Ralof and Hadvar just hang out there for a bit (do not use the wait function or youll have to come back to it) never had a problem as long as i did this

I'm getting this issue too. I've tried literally everything suggested in this thread and nothing worked. I distinctly remember getting the quest when I started with the mod, but I haven't for any of my recent characters

The first of these commands worked for me immediately. Remember to put the space before the underscore etc.
