These are the official artworks from the Alien Swarm Infested Beta (when the dev team ported the game from the ut engine to source). At this point he looked like a native mexican, for the final AS release they changed the whole artstyle of the game, the reasoning for this change is unknown. Ngl, they sorta look like the marines from that one CGI Starship Troopers show.

He was one of the two tech marines (him and Crash) in the original Unreal Tournament 2004 mod. He was replaced by Vegas in the 2010 Valve release though.
