RT Fuse

Description
Researchable (RT Mods research tab) electric fuses to mitigate short circuits. When placed anywhere on a power network, each fuse will safely discharge up to three of network's batteries, mitigating or preventing the explosion.

Does not require a new colony to add or remove (might throw a one-time error).

@TacocaT: There is a plethora of mods that add higher tier breakers to RT Fuse.
TacocaT Aug 31 @ 2:37am
request: a mod setting to adjust how much stored power each fuse or breaker protects, for use with other mods that add larger capacity batteries.

Or, if balance is a concern, higher tier breakers, I guess? :D

@Omega13: Yeah, me neither. To me it sounds like something else in your mod list is causing things to misbehave.

Brandon: I am aware that electrical devices can catch fire if not under a roof. That is not what is happening. I am getting faults in conduits that are unrelated to Zzzt (which is basically an event that never happens anymore anyway due to hidden conduits) and this mod is doing nothing to prevent battery loss or fire. Which, again, is something I have definitely never encountered in years of using this mod.

you need to put the device under a roof

Pointing this out particularly because I have used this mod for years and only experienced this behavior recently.
Omega13 Aug 22 @ 6:56pm
They aren't just causing battery charge loss but also massive fires.

@Omega13: Those events are one and the same. The fuses don't protect you from losing the battery charge, only from the explosion.

So while I do not get ZZT events anymore, I get a lot of short circuit events now, which you would think these would protect against, but "nah."

I have done this manually, but just letting you know, adding this:

<generalTitle>Title Here!</generalTitle>
<generalDescription>Description Here!</generalDescription>

To your (ResearchTab.xml), give the tab a proper title and description, lol. I just love my game to have everything perfect, of course, remove the PlaceHolders I have already put, use it if you wish, but anyway, thanks for the great mod :Upvoter:
