skin system got fucked again, im trying to load up an f-150 and it says im "missing" "regalia" and "red"

There were a patch when they fixed the skin system. So you should be fine with any amount of skins.

How many skins would be the recommended maximum to have?
So far I have about 2, so I should be fine, right?

It happens when you have too many skins installed. The system is kinda buggy right now and even devs admited that there's such a problem and they are working on it. Right now the best option is to unsubscribe from those skins that you don't use very often.
