Note: this item is a part of a larger client and server mod, HCDS. The contents are available separately for your convenience.

SMALL SHIP MEDICAL PANEL

Function: an emergency respawn block for use in respawn ships.

A part of a vanilla large Medical Room with construction models added and construction quota reduced. Still needs a bunch of Medical Components to actually work.

IMPORTANT

Due to the way respawn works in Space Engineers the cost of death is null. Introducing the block in question in vanilla multiplayer will break balance (if there is any). This block should come together with appropriate server configuration, eg. limiting the amount of given block type per character or introducing penalty on death. Do note that the mentioned functionality is unavailable in stock server extensions.

The medical panel is a 2x2x2 block that requires some extra space against it. Failure to provide enough space may result in fatalities on respawn.

DX11-compatible and non-colorable by definition, with simple construction models.

The survival block for small ships covers the functionality of this, so apart from the old aesthetics this doesn't really have much use these days.

(I've also long lost the related files, and not playing SE these days, so this is no longer maintained, sorry)

Mm, I'm not sure how that mod would affect any other block; one of the more freshKeen updates (like, some 3-4 months ago?) made armor blocks a "multi-block" that could change its type (cornered variations and such) on mouse scroll or some other input, so instead of choosing the concrete armor variation from the G-menu you could just cycle the block subtypes.

Don't have anything installed to check atm, but i'm pretty sure this very mod doesn't touch any armor block (cubeblock XML definition, textures or models) in any way.

Your mod is pretty awesome, but has a strange bug: Whenever I activate it the Light Armor Block (Small Ship) turns into the Inversed Corner Light Armor Block (Small Ship). When I deactivate your mod and load the world again it's back to normal :-/

@Darian, there's a "<RespawnAllowed>" XML tag for medical bays, you could mod your medbay and set it to false to disable respawning altogether. Eg. download this one, alter it and reupload with the altered XML file for your own needs, cause you can't use non-workshop mods for dedicated server. Can also keep a link in description to this mod - people usually ♥♥♥♥♥ about reuploading without reference. I personally don't care (it's not that this is my own model, tee hee), but best to get your ground covered. Or just override the XML settings for the vanilla medbay. This kind of modding is utterly simple.

Is it possible to disable respawning on a medical station?
If so, that may be something I'd be interested in adding to my server.

@Darian, it still heals you last time I checked, but doesn't give you O2/H as it doesn't have a conveyor.

Oh, it's for respawn? Here I thought it'd be limited to only mobile medical attention, my mistake.
