1182 AD: County of Champagne

This is one of the factions of my 1182 AD: France Campaign.

You are Guy II de Dampierre, Constable of Champagne and the sword arm of the recently widowed Countess Maire of Champagne, who rules the County as regent until her son Henry comes of age. Henry was betrothed to Isabelle of Hainaut, but King Philip’s coronation deprived the young Count of his privileged bride: the King of France disregarded Henry’s betrothal, and married Isabelle himself. This is an insult that must be compensated. And if it isn’t paid in silver, it will be paid in blood.
