Codices+

Codices+ adds a little more variety to your collection of Codices by adding new icons and giving all codex variants names, e.g. Papyrus Scroll or Clay Tablet.

These are just as likely to appear as any other normal Codex:

• Screenfold Codices - Mesoamerican origin, made of bark paper glued together into long strips, which are then folded into books.
  
• Bamboo Slips - Chinese origin, constructed from strips of bamboo tied together such that they can be rolled up like a scroll.

For some extra flavour, there are two Codex styles which are much more uncommon:

• Rongorongo Tablet - Undeciphered writing system from Rapa Nui (aka. Easter Island), carved on wooden tablets. Icon is from the game already, as it is a Modern Age artifact.
  
• Khipu - Andean rope-based notation, whether they were merely mnemonic devices or if they could actually record text is still being figured out.

Codices from Great People also have unique icons, as does one Narrative Event codex.

• Great People: Hymn to Aphrodite, The Maxims of Ptahhotep, Book of Han, Tao Te Ching
  
• Narrative Event: Brass Plates (equivalent Relic and Artefact have also been updated)

This mod has no gameplay impact and can be enabled or disabled mid-game! If you want some gameplay variety, check out Codices++.
