GOAT Sorter
A Modern Inventory Manager, for a Modern Space Engineer

Key Features:
  • Priority based AutoCrafting!
  • Priority based Ore Refining!
  • Quota and Fully Automatic Ore Refining depending on your needs!
  • Sort Items after Categories
  • Change and or Create Custom Categories
  • Change display names of Items!
  • Stock Container, to fill a Container with a desired amount of Items.
  • Reactor, O2/H2 Generator and Irrigation System Handling
  • Seamless Bottle Refilling, even in Stock containers!
  • Assembler Cleanup
  • Adjustable Docking Priority, Pauses Script on Dock if Installed on a Ship as well as on the Base
  • Fancy APP LCD screens, Including Icon based Autocrafting Screen
  • Customizable Inventory Screens with Icons and Bars
  • Stock Ticker, to show whats going in and out of your Grid!
  • Container Level Displays with Corner LCD screens
  • Support for Modded Items and Ores!
    This means that we support mods like the Industrial Overhaul, Better Resources and Better Stone!
  • Tons and Tons of Quality of Life features! Including a small Tutorial to get you started!
  • Script crash prevention!
    It will Automatically log and restart if the Script Crashes (see [LogScreen])

  • Support for HaE PB Limiter (Hopefully, we will try our best!)

  • LCD Panel Rework to better support multi-panel LCDs

First Time Installation:
First things first: THIS IS NOT A MOD, its a Script!
Scripts are loaded inside a Programmable Block that you place In-Game!!!
DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ADD THIS TO A DEDICATED SERVERS MOD LIST,
your Server and Clients will throw errors!
now to the actual installation part:
  1. Make sure that you enabled In-Game Scripts inside the world settings!
  2. Place down a Programmable Block In-Game
  3. Open the Control Panel of the PB and Click the Edit Button.
    if the Edit Button is greyed out, that means you dont have In-Game Scripts Enabled!
  4. Click on Browse Scripts and search for GOAT Sorter
  5. Double Click on the Script to install it
  6. Click Ok and the script will boot up

  7. the script will guide you through a small tutorial, you will see it in the control panel of the PB on the bottom right.

we couldnt really do "live action testing" because we didnt had any time to play, just worked on the script all day long xD

I really love this script so far, it's nice to see someone make an inventory manager after TIM and IIM got discontinued, though I wanted to ask if you have plans on making "learning toggle" auto clear the current assembler queues so it's less likely to mess up things you've already taught it?

could we get a list of ores in the custom data field of the PB or maybe even the refinery that will dictate a refine order so we can manually specify the order ores are handled in?

second, you say we have two refine options now... i do not see the setting to switch this, where is that setting?

@Ishtan don't worry, we all started somewhere with this game :)
as long as you install this script in-game into a programmable block you and your friends will be fine.
dedicated servers allow to install mods by adding their workshop IDs to the mod list, since you host your single player world you wont run into this issue.

@Volg yes, for assembling and disassembling you will need 2 assemblers because (currently) we dont switch assemblers. maybe in the future we add some sort of automation that switches assemblers into disassembling mode from time to time.
