Disclaimer: This navmesh was not made from scratch; it is a work made on top of the original.


Storage Facility's newly developed navmesh


TLDR -> This navmesh makes it so Bon the Rabbit can crawl into the vents and catch you; that is it.



This addon was created due to "Bon the Rabbit" getting stuck on odd spots around the map, like the railings around the top floor of the theater area while the player was near the stage or in the middle of that same area.

Another reason is that it was also a little strange that "Bon" was never willing to go into the vents, instead opting for looping around and going for the vent entrance that was closest to the player without ever being able to catch you unless you got into his jumpscare range.

So with these additions to the navmesh, "Bon the Rabbit" is now able to crawl in and go after you, so it's able to keep pressuring you.



FAQ | Possible Issues You Might Come Across

"Bon the Rabbit keeps losing me in the vents and starts to roam."
  • Try this first: Spawn Menu -> Utilities -> Bon the Rabbit
    Here you should tweak the "Detection Settings"; try increasing them.

  • If that didn't work, try the following: Spawn Menu -> DrGBase -> Nextbot Settings -> AI Settings

    Here, try increasing the detection range.

  • IF NOTHING ELSE WORKS

    Use the previously mentioned "AI Settings" section and toggle "omniscience" on. This will make "Bon the Rabbit" chase you until he catches you without ever losing you.

It's not guaranteed to solve your issue, but it has a list with step-by-step solutions you can try out for yourself, with some of them having been mentioned by other users in the comments.

Everytime Bon runs up or down the stairs he just loops up and down continuously and just doesn't stop

Good addon, the navmesh in the vents worked fine, but, bon keeps sticking in the stairs at the left of the principaI entrance, i don't know if the problem is in the map or with bon, but, is there a way you can fix this?
But if isn't, thank you for the addon anyway

@Lemon Arsonist that's definitely not the case.

This tends to be an issue with gmod itself, not my addon or navmesh, so I highly recommend that you follow the step by step list and see if it helps you out in any way.

@Coruja thanks i just checked it and i've used the map countless times before and it has been this way so its prolly that you forgot to mesh the vents which i highly doubt.

notice how every pic its bon crawling through the vents but theres not a drop of navmesh in the vents. (atleast for me)

I got it to work, you need to enable both mods at the exact same time by selecting enabled in addon menu

Oh, that is good to hear.
I think that was in the solutions, but I will check because it might involve different steps.

@Coruja I tried re-installing the map and the your navmesh addon and worked, it seems that the vents didnt had the navmesh, so when i uninstalled the map it worked. I uninstalled both at same time but I guess the problem was with the map addon : )
