'It's quite slow and handles poorly, but it more than makes up for it with durability and brute force.'
- Gabester

Originating from the videogame BeamNG.Drive, the Gavril D-Series is a vast line of light trucks, and is an icon of American automotives as a whole. The D-Series name has already been well established for a good time already, with the most recent rendition of it was introduced in the wake of 1986. This version of the truck features a highly resilient and modular frame that enabled the truck to take on virtually any shape and length that it could form on four, or six tyres depending on its configurations.

Naturally, the D-Series didn't just succeed, it dominated. It was the truck for basically any hard-working American to rely upon, no matter what trade it was. Its wide bed, spacious interior even on short cab models, and supremely powerful engines had led not just to millions of sales across the US alone, but it solidified its place in American culture. Ask anyone what US car they can name, and half will call out the D-Series directly.

The D-Series would also get a facelift across its entire lineup starting at the end of 1991 into 1992 following the release of the Gavril Roamer. This would involve overhauling the majority of trucks by introducing fuel-injected engines, standardizing their ABS selections, and just overall modernizing their catalogue for the new decade ahead. Well, until it was cut short just the year later.

Standard Production Classes:

D15: Gavril's light-duty line, and by far the most well known of all of its truck variants. It was also the class with the greatest number of configurations offered to the general public. From single to crew cabs, short and extended beds, and optional 4WD for many different configs mixed in, it was no wonder that general civilian population trended towards this model. From apprentice tradesworkers to hunters, fishermen to full-blown corporations, this truck line alone outsold every other truck class that Gavril also offered. Though, that's not to think nothing to the rest of the lineup.

D25: Gavril's medium-duty line, acting as the D15's 'big brother' in terms of what you could get out of it. Pretty much everything related to the drivetrain and engine were made bigger, heavier, and even more durable compared to its smaller sibling. Businesses seldom bought this line since it sat between what was affordable and powerful, but farmers and certain blue-collar workers widely gravitated to this range of trucks thanks to their exemplary offroad performance and trailer hauling capabilities without compromising too much on costs and its overall looks.

D35: Gavril's heavy-duty line, teetering on the limits of being considered a full-blown commercial truck for the general populace. Certain restrictions had to be enforced on these trucks such as extended lighting and more rigorous chassis reinforcements in order to haul the heaviest of loads and trailers that could still be connected by a regular hitch. As such, Gavril opted for its entire first generation of the D35 to consist of dually pickups, giving it the best towing capabilities out of any truck offered. And with that, came the massive number of businesses that bought this line for that explicit purpose, particularly livestock farmers in order to reliably move horse trailers to and from ranches and the like.

D45: Gavril's commercial line, completely beefing up the chassis so much that this line is only sold to businesses as a bare frame with a cab strapped on. It was generally expected that any business that was buying this line would then add their own bed uplift afterwards, depending on their own workload and purpose. Unsurprisingly, the vast majority of these uplifts were simply just box trucks of all different shapes and sizes, but Gavril would see a lot of different variations of the D45 performing whatever services America needed.

Alternate Production Offerings:

D10: A particularly unique designation, offered by Gavril as a light-duty SUV body style. The suspension would see a slight downgrade, being tuned towards outdoor enthusiasts having to drive down rugged roads without too much trouble while offering a more comfortable driving experience. As such, this class of 'trucks' are more reminiscent of traditional SUVs and offroaders to an extent. Certain examples include the D10 Charro, a 3-door SUV offered directly by Gavril, and the D10 Kentarch, a third-party business that manufactured aftermarket conversions of the chassis to create a six-seater SUV.

D30: A rarely used designation, having been barely used for the D-Series at all due to its bizarre application of a D35 chassis on an SUV platform. The only two notable examples involve the D30 Kentarch, having been introduced following after the debut of the Gavril Roamer to try one-upping it in the SUV market with a more truck-like chassis. The other vehicle was the D30 L-TRV, nicknamed the 'Marauder'. This vehicle was made as part of a contract with the US Military to introduce more civilian trucks into their fleets to perform logistical and support roles away from the frontlines, where armored transport wasn't a concern. Neither vehicle saw that many sales as a result, and largely went unnoticed by the vast majority of the population.

Like my work? I now have one of those things where you can donate caffeine to fuel my long sleepless nights of toiling away at this stuff!

This pickup is really cool! The main thing is the style, and as a fan of vanilla cars, I really like it. I wish the mod author the best of luck, and I look forward to seeing more of your cars :):rockparty:

Honestly, not surprised, I’ve been losing my marbles recently.

Awesome mod regardless, I can tell a lot of time and effort went into these, it turned out very well :)

@Water gargle CHAMPION 2011 🏆 I think you might be having a Mandela Effect. You might be confusing it with my earlier works when I first started back in 2022. Though to be honest I woulda loved this sort of a mod to be out back then anyways.
