PortCrawler_Respawn

Originally designed as a rolling gantry for moving small containers in industrial yards, the Portcrawler found a second life on the fringes of explored space. Abandoned in shipyards and decommissioned factories, many of these chassis were reclaimed by colonists, mercenaries and self-taught engineers.

Its simple frame made it easy to adapt: improvised wiring, industrial tie-down straps repurposed as cargo slings, and salvaged survival modules. Some units include rudimentary parachute systems cobbled together from old atmospheric descent pods, making them ideal as field respawn vehicles.

Despite its rough looks and limited performance, the Portcrawler is valued for its toughness and ease of repair. On the edges of known space, it has become a symbol of ingenuity and survival: a vehicle that should never run… but does.
