Описание
This mod adds researchable medieval-themed drop pods and a wooden airship (based on the Odyssey shuttle).

✨ Features✨
  • Researchable Medieval Drop Pods
  • Researchable Medieval Airship

Both pods and airship have reduced range to keep things fair. Feedback on balance (and bugs) is very welcome!

Known Issues
  • Drop pods revert to vanilla textures on arrival.
    Unfortunately this is due to hardcoded behavior in RimWorld’s code. At present, there’s no fix for it but if I find a workaround, I’ll update the mod.

Notes
This is not a texture replacer. This mod adds two new Researches to the Medieval Tech tier with a new Airship and Drop Pods.

@BANGBANGCHOOCHOOTRAIN I really like that idea, I'm going to be making a buildable engine for the next update. It's going to be a bit because of health issues, but it's noted down <3

Sooo medieval overhaul has an option to replace chemfuels into tar. Does that mean I can use the tar here instead?

After using for a while, I think the airship should probably have a longer cool down, and probably something rare-ish to build, like a gaurunlen seed or dug up anima tree, as a stand-in for the shuttle engine.

Could this use wood instead of / in addition to chemfuel? That way it can be used pre/without electricity?

Not sure what the other guy did with "my starting three colonists with nothing more then the clothes on their" being to heavy, but a base pawn should be around 70kg.

While Odysseys Shuttle with 500kg is laughable low, be it logic or balance, I think an Airship around 800kg is pretty good.

Just giving input, I am playing around with the numbers on my end anyway.

I will be using 600 for the airship and 1200 for the shuttle

I'd love to see a form of medieval gravship that uses big balloons and a wooden hull. Would be neat for a fantasy adventure playthrough.

Can't go to space, but could go to low orbit for mods like the sky islands one.

Is it possible for a colab between you two? Using these air ships textures in Bigger shuttles? I love the mod, but theres only 2. Would be cool to have the bigger ones with bigger fuel and storage.

I think it could be really damn cool.
