Mod Info:

This is a continuation of Zed's Loft Bed mod which has been updated to work in 1.6.

Known Issues:
  • There can be some strange behaviors when using a Loft Bed as a medical bed with another bed underneath it
  • Medical Loft Beds not giving comfort

Original Description:

A loft bed is a double level bed similar to a bunk bed, but it only has one mattress. The top bunk is usually for sleeping while the bottom bunk is used as a study area by way of a desk.

Stuffable as a regular bed.

You can build bunk beds with this one just by placing it over an existing regular bed.

By default you can't place loft beds over a structures with cover > 50%, but this can be changed in mod settings.

End tables have to be placed in the usual spot (by the head, not under it) but dressers can be anywhere, including beneath.

Can Loft Beds benifit from end tables and/or dressers? if so where do we need to place them?

I forked the original mod specifically for 1.6 and so I have not tested for 1.5 compatibility. I cannot confirm if this fork works on 1.5, but I believe the original mod was still working for 1.5

Hyyppe on softwarmbeds supporting this now. Finally makes it easy to decide between loft beds and bunk beds!

Possibly a dumb question, but does this work for 1.5? Jumped the gun a bit on goin' to 1.6, but this mod is better than the primary 1.5 bunkbeds mod, and apparently, the 1.4 version has some problems that apparently are fixed with this version.

@Saltshaker I had reached out to the VE team already and unfortunately they did not want me to create any loft bed versions of their beds, so I will respect that request.
