@Roku no, I understand your comment haha, I replied cause it's something I wanna fix too and have been trying some experiments on the textures. Originally, it was using texture settings from insurgency and it was even waaaay worse than the released version. Cause personally, I actually do not fully understand the ins and outs of source textures, only a little bit of it.

Also to let other people know how the process happens. The part I'm stuck with is basically after "converting"/translating the Insurgency texture settings to Contagion texture settings. Since the model comes with its own envmap, I tried using the default envmap but it's way worse and becomes blue all the time. Which means the next suspect would be the phongexponenttexture itself and that's the part I'm assuming I have to edit itself and not just the vmt

@blxckdreadful Relax, I'm not judging your work, the Colt model is very nice, and I understand that perfectly, I'm doing things in Blender, I understand perfectly that texturing is difficult, I still have work to do with UV and texturing. Have a beautiful day at school or work. Maybe you are someone busy and I understand, that's why I wish it to you from the bottom of my heart. Beautiful model of the Colt at the end of all. @Roku that's a shading issue, I get that too on some maps or angles depending on how the light hits the weapon. I think that can be fixed by editing the weapon textures itself cause it's from a GGX shader setting, I'm not so sure yet how I can convert it to the way Contagion handles the shaders.

So basically, I have an idea how to fix it but don't wanna do it cause I might fk things up even more cause textures aren't my really my niche

I can say that the texturing comes out with Error, Oh it is not Compatible with High graphics, in the end I get the texture in Blue/Light Blue color. It's maybe something merely a problem of mine, but I can say that the weapon looks good.:steamsalty:

there's not much weapons left that I haven't ported to (firearms), and I prolly need to optimize my ports cause it came from 64bit games while Contagion is 32bit (memory caps at 4gb) so I'm closer to stopping than doing more.

But if I get bored again, I'll learn how to mod sound files here
