Because I love these mods and at moment no sign of latest maintainer to update them I gonna give it shot. If original maintainer returns I will remove my version and let them keep maintaining them.

All information about mod can be find at original mod linked below.

What I fixed or did for this mod.
Fixed all the errors and made everything work as intended I think.
Fixed empty X slots when used on star bases
Fixed Heavy Defence Platform not showing up and trowing an error (took me way to long)
Fixed naming issues (I hope, Still few error in log but seems to work)
Fixed ship set models for Heavy Defense Platform for all newer ship sets released.
Changed way default Ascension perk Eternal Vigil and how its policy works to
- Now only build around bastions starbases.
- Full spending is 100% Platform capacity build.
- Half spending is 50% platform capacity build.
Should work with bio ship sets.

So far I could see everything else should work the same.

Testing phase feedback is welcome.

What I will not do.
Make any compatibility for other mods.
Make changes to its original design.

ill take look at it when I have the time to play and see how everything goes naturally. there 2 issues I have that is time to find to to play and time it takes to naturally test it out.

Last time I played and tested it worked fine on my test saves at the time but that bit back again and could that paradox broke things again.

C: I tried making regular Bastion starbases for the Full Spending option to spawn platforms around, but I never got any platforms to spawn even after waiting about a year or so, Heavy or otherwise, though this was tested on a merge made on 9/26, so take those results with a grain of salt. Everything else was done by redownloading the mod from the Workshop and directly looking at the code

D: I ran the "event eac.2050" command in that same 9/26 merge, and it worked once, but didn't repeat every 6 months.

I've been doing a deep dive into this mod to try and figure out why the Eternal Vigilance policy just won't work in my 4.0 merge, and I've got some findings:

A: This mod's version of the policy will only spawn defense platforms around Bastions and not Heavy Bastions, I'd recommend adding a check for that

B: I'd recommend creating an extra setting for that policy that keeps the vanilla behavior of building defense platforms on EVERY starbase, that way players have more flexibility, maybe name it Maximum Spending

Worked on little fix now and hope I did not break anything.

Heavy Defense Platform should now use models of bio ship sets when used.

ofcourse new expansion out and new ships so I have to work on those to now. yay! will check that out later after I fixed bio ships.

anyway let me know if I broke something in the progress, so far unlocking tech and looking at ship design things should work.

I did a fix, as I noticed no one could build them anymore for some reason. did not bothered my save so only see it when was loading new game, also bio ships set can use platforms and design them but for some reason use default model and reactor and combat computers are also non bio but so far I could see can use them. ill try figure that out later when I have the time at least it should be functional.

It is, I haven’t played with bio ships at all and normal ships worked fine and no errors came up so I assumed was fine and maybe I did not find issue as I tested with with other at war mods active.

I’ll take look at it when I have the time.

Currently the heavy defense platform seems to be missing some core component? In the defense platform file, I noticed it has required_component_set = "neurochips" on it, which seems to result in a blank core component, which means I can't save any designs for it. I assume that's related to bioships?

Gonna test something new what might come close to Platform longevity mod.

Platforms will only spawn at bastion star bases.
Full spending will build 100% capacity of platforms

Half spending will build 50% of capacity of platforms.

Means you can automatically get bastions fully equipped with platforms. They do get destroyed but eventually rebuild.

Previous update made mod spawn heavy platforms and randomly spawn one of player design if you have then and the tech.

I think it’s better but let me know people thinking this chance.

(Working on localization for some reason it only changed half spending policy text)
