I'm unsure why the “electric” dragon is supposed to represent the dragon’s evil side in the game, and I tried to supplement this.

Storm Dragon
The mod adds a new Storm Dragon, which gets the original Obsidian Dragon skillset with minor changes and does not require alignment to hire.

Recruit a Young Storm Dragon after researching "Tome of The Dragons" along with other dragons in the game.

May spawn on the world map.

Gold and Obsidian Dragon change
The Obsidian and Golden Dragon have been given new skill sets and additional breath ability.
The Golden Dragon retained its abilities and gained new ones related to Cleansing Flames.

The Obsidian Dragon gains skin changes compared to the Golden Dragon and uses a ghosfire similarly to the Golden Dragon's Cleansing Flame mechanic.

The damage of the Golden and Obsidian Dragon is lower than that of other dragons.
The idea is that they quickly gain full stacks of fire and ghostfire on enemies with their abilities and buff allies. That's why their upkeep has increased.

The Golden and Obsidian Wyverns have received relative changes.

Other stuff
Some dragon’s skins fixes and a bit more spikes :3

Added alternative mod files
It's in the mod location directory:

steamapps\workshop\content\1669000\3487088324

If you need it, overwrite the files with those from the "ALTERNATE MOD FILES" folder.

1. Alternative Spawnsets.
To exclude the mod requirement, Ways of War DLC:
Overwrite the files in the "Packs" folder.


2. Alternative Dragons Hire.
To recruit Golden and Obsidian dragons and wyverns regardless of alignment requirements:
Overwrite the files in the mod main folder.

Yep, I thought about that.
Making the Golden Dragon "Faithful" or "Zeal" is too much. But "Сondemnation effect immunity" is a possible option I will add after finishing "Ghost Flame," which will focus on "umbral demons," similar to "Cleansing Flame" concentrating on "Faithful" and "zeal" units.

I am currently working on the second mod. I took this break cuz I need more practice in creating new effects and understanding the possibilities of modding.

... I also just realized something. Does the gold dragon naturally have any way to benefit/resist its own Cleansing Flame? It'll ignore the burning, but it won't get positive effects, and if condemned will suffer.

Sweet!!! Thanks for the consideration. Don't forget the melee attacks were changed as well, and those may be even more important, as there were some very useful synergies the young golden dragon especially had through blindness. Big Gold loses some of them due to mythic status, but still contributed to blindness mechanically and thematically.

Hi. Thanks for the feedback! This's definitely not a selfish topic. Logic tells me there should be many players with a similar opinion.

The thing is, I consciously wanted to keep all the Golden Dragon's abilities and only add new ones. There's no point in depriving the community of the mechanics they are used to. And really, I think I did the wrong thing with the "blind" effect.

Now I have some ideas that I didn't think of when the mod was released.
It could be a difference in the chance of "blindness" for Comet and Breath Cone - the easiest option. Perhaps a new version of the blindness effect that is stronger per stack. Or also a more powerful version of blindness for Comet. We'll see. Obsidian Dragon will get an equalizing effect.

Bringing back the "blind" effect for the Golden Dragon's cone breath fits my vision of what this mod should be. I'll do it.

This is awesome, and I love the choices, but can you still make the golden draco team have Blinding as their priimary debuff? Or maybe chance of blinding and burning? It's admittedly a selfish request, due to synergy with a wholly separate but very appropriate mod, but Blinding also is just a really good debuff to apply. Plea aside, thanks for making the three dragons feel the most appropriate they can!

Could be. The mod didn't get an update after the last DLC, as I planned.
I've been very sick with Covid over the previous three weeks and could only test that the mod works stably in its current state. I don't have the same bug as you, but that doesn't mean it's not possible.
I'm feeling better now, and I plan to make a proper update to the mod before the end of the week.

For some reason just having this mod in my mod list, nomatter where it is, crashes my game when I open the hero screen. Probably some weird mod incompatibility but cant seem to figure out what.

Materium and Nature dragon already exist in the "Expanded Wildlife Pack" mod. So the community has dragons of all elements, and this mod is fully compatible with my mod.

You can already get dragons of all aspects.
Maybe there will be new exotic dragons, similar to Golden and Obsidian. Metallic Dragon is a good idea.

Is there any chance we could get a Materium metallic Dragon? possibly a green nature dragon?
