The Project 1134C Golden Eagle, or Kresta III-class was designed as a larger and more capable successor to the Kresta I-class missile cruisers, which turned out less than optimal for the modern battlespace. The Kresta III is intended for the anti-ship role but has much improved capabilities for anti-air and anti-submarine warfare. If these ships are allowed into the North Atlantic convoy routes they could prove a real threat to NATO as raiders. The Kresta III also is one of few Soviet surface ship classes equipped with the P-55 Relief, the Soviet answer to the American Tomahawk Anti-Ship Missile and Land Attack Missile, in the form of the P-55A and P-55B respectively.

The first of my Soviet escort upgrades, alongside the Kara II, the Kresta III Class scratches the itch of VLS and other upgraded systems aboard the Kresta hull. Improvements include the replacement of the AK-726s with AK-100s, replacement of SA-N-3 with SA-N-7, and the addition of SA-N-9 in VLS cells aft of the SA-N-7 arm launcher, and finally, the P-55 Relief in the armored box launchers aft. I made this specifically as an escort for the Chelyabinsk and Marshal Zhukov Class ships, and it works best when slotted into a carrier strike group or surface action group as an escort. Let me know if there's anything in particular you guys would like to see and I'll see about making your ideas, and with that, goodbye for now.

Very nice use of one of the best looking hulls in the Soviet inventory. Glad to see you working on some Soviet stuff.

Doesn't fit, will be adding an improved SS-N-7 later on

Should have SS-N-9 rather than SS-N-7

@GoldLeader108 There are entries in aircraft_names.ini for the Chelyabinsk's Ko-45. Not sure it's necessary to include here.
