“Gestalt Engine” is a standalone and improved version of the one found in “Reinforced Mechanoids 2”. It allows the player to control mechanoids without the need for a mechanitor. On top this version also adds a new mechanoid, the Matriarch, which can gestate new mechanoids.

Every aspect of it was made to fit into Rimworld perfectly. From the artstyle, do the way it works. For people who disagree with my balancing, the mod includes extensive mod options to tweak it to your liking!








There are no patches needed as of now.



Some often asked questions, answered already.

Q: Can I used this and Reinforced Mechanoids 2?
A: Yes, you should. Please load this after it.
A: No need to use both, Reinforced Mechanoids 2 now includes all features of this mod.

Q: Is this mod save game compatible?
A: Yeah! You can’t remove it after you add it though!

Q: Is this mod compatible with Combat Extended?
A: Most likely yes! I think?

So I got the mod and built the engine but it has no functionality at all. No buttons to upgrade, can't connect anything, nothing. Just a large and expensive lump of nothing. I do have a couple other mechanoid mods but they only add more mechanoids. No errors or anything either. Am I doing something wrong here?

I did some more things, so it seems to break if i disassemble the bandonde as well. But if i turn the bandnode off, then on again, it breaks and comes back after a while.

Not sure if this issue has been encountered before; if you retune a bandnode from the gestalt engine to a pawn, the engine breaks completley.

I keep having a strange issue with Gestalt engine that doesn't seem to spark an error. Every time I load a save my gestalt engine resets it's upgrades back down to level one, which in turn causes a bunch of mechs to be uncontrolled. Is anyone else havingthis issue or know of a fix?:steamhappy:

This held up really well, because Odyssey introduced some mechhive technology that directly equates to certain mechanitor tech, then Odyssey also introduced the Cerebex Core, which looks a heck of a lot like a mechhive equivalent to the Gestalt Engine, and they even act the same.

I hope this device returns in VFE Mechanoids 2, because it's really been set up for a return.
