Does the music sound off to you when you enter a room full of enemies on the alt path? It's been bugging me since Repentance came out. The gist of it is new music has special kind of layers, which quickly swap with the normal track, instead of playing over it. And man, the sounds clash and don't sound good.

I hoped a new patch would change it, or a modding enthusiast would step up, but it's like they say — if you want a thing done well, do it yourself.

Changed tracks:
- Downpour
- Dross
- Mines
- Ashpit
- Mausoleum
- Gehenna
- Corpse

This mod uses album versions and adds intros. Music was edited using Demucs v4. All credit goes to Ridiculon.

I'm not knowledgable enough in coding, but I know for a fact that this mod borrows the same technique and even mod base for its function. I use it myself along with Item Descriptions and haven't encountered any compatibility issues. Chances are, some other mod is causing this problem. You should check if other OST mods break Item Descriptions or if it's just mine.

I could, but the mod's focus is entirely on the floor layers, not porting album versions of boss themes. Part of me thinks it's already been done, too :steambored:
